Golden Milk Gluten Free Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients

●     1 cup water

●     3 cups unsweetened coconut milk

●     ¼ tsp salt

●     ¼ to ½ tsp nutmeg

●     1 cinnamon stick

●     1 cup sprouted steel cut oats (gluten free)

● 1-2 mashed bananas

● 1 T Golden Milk Powder

● 3T Chia Seeds

1 scoop of MCT Powder

1 scoop of Protein Powder

Preparation

  1. Bring water, coconut milk and salt to a boil.

  2. Add add oats and all other ingredients except MCT and Protein.  Stir in and reduce heat to low

  3. Simmer 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and creamy. Now add in the MCT and Protein powders. Let sit until thickened.

Tips

Enjoy playing with many toppings.  I like a little coconut yogurt, berries, almond butter and some nuts or seeds.

This makes a large batch which is wonderful on busy mornings.  Just heat it up and go!!

Variation

Try adding in some diced green apples instead of bananas while cooking!
